Early on, Sam was in the mounted horse patrol and did trick riding in the State Police sponsored rodeos. Tom, and Cheryl, or Cherie. For most of his career they lived in Greensburg, PA, until he retired and moved to Sarasota, FL. Sam and Becky later moved back to PA and resided at the Arbutus Park Retirement Community in 2001 to live on the same street where several of his brothers had resided. Sam was a great storyteller, and enjoyed making hand carved wood spirit “walking sticks” in his retirement.
